God’s System of Funding and Blessing His People in His Kingdom

Dr. Patrick Nyaga

The Kingdom of God operates on the principles of giving and receiving

God instituted this system in His Kingdom here on the earth for the purpose of supporting not only His work here on earth but reaching to others outside His Kingdom.  This principle when obeyed and practiced is meant to fund God’s Kingdom and its citizens.

Genesis 8:22 (KJV)

While the earth remaineth, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease”.

Luke 6:38 (NKJV)

“Give, and it will be given to you: good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over will be put into your bosom. For with the same measure that you use, it will be measured back to you.”

God designed the principle of giving and reaping to fund His Kingdom and His citizens on the earth

When you sow into God’s Kingdom, you are bringing spiritual promises into manifestations inform of physical prosperity in earthly realm for the world to see. The great thing about the principle of sawing and reaping is that you can prosper anywhere in the world. (Give examples)

Unfortunately, many in the Body of Christ do not understand and therefore they have no revelation of this principle. This revelation is progressive. You begin in the light of what you know and eventually you mature to a level where all you want is to serve God with everything. He has given you. You want to be a good steward of what God has blessed you well.

There are three categories of people in God’s Kingdom:

  • Those who are always in lack. They don’t have a revelation of the principle of seed time and harvest time.
  • Those with plenty but lacks wisdom in managing / stewarding what God has given them.
  • Those with plenty and full of wisdom to steward what they are entrusted with.

Sowing and reaping requires a seed. It is God who provides man with seed to sow

God placed power in every seed to produce a harvest—to exactly duplicate itself as well as multiply itself.

Facts about a seed and its influence in the world

  1. Everything starts out as a seed.
  2. Seed produces after its own kind.
  3. God deposited multiplying power inside a seed.
  4. The ground in which the seed is sown determines the measure of harvest.

The Sowing and Reaping principle is so powerful that it can influence the whole world.

A seed sown in faith in God’s Kingdom can bring change in the following areas:

  • Government
  • Media
  • Arts and Entertainment
  • Businesses
  • Education system
  • Religion and
  • Family

The key things that your seed / giving will do

It will attract those whom God has assigned to relate to you – these includes your Kingdom connectors and destiny helpers.

  1. It will open doors of opportunity that will cause others to be blessed within your community including those not yet born again.
  2. It will bring prosperity to your family, community, and nation.

NOTE:

  1. If you’re not sowing seeds into the community where the Lord has planted you or called you to preach the gospel; don’t expect your life, church, or ministries to grow and become a blessing back to you.
  2. If you’re not willing to sow, you won’t reap a harvest what God has ordained for you in this life.

God’s intentions for wealth and prosperity

Throughout the Bible, we see instances where God blesses His people with abundance and prosperity. However, it is essential to recognize that God’s intentions for wealth go beyond mere accumulation and personal gain.

God desires that His children use their wealth and prosperity to bring about positive change in the world.

When you sow your finances into God’s kingdom, your giving will produce a stream of income for you result in more favor coming to you as well as more open doors. If you learn the secret that Holy Spirit is revealing to us today, your life will never be the same again.

If you have some money somewhere or in your bank or with you right now, you possess a seed with a potential to produce a harvest that can NOT ONLY influence your life but Kingdoms outside God’s Kingdom. The people will start to say – “I want that”!

Things don’t just grow out of nothing. The blessing can’t manifest without a seed on the ground. There is no farmer who reaps where he /she did not saw. Everything on earth comes into manifestation because of someone sowing seeds. People who do not understand God’s economic system or plan, will always criticize seed messages on prosperity especially regarding sowing and reaping.

Believers in Christ Jesus needs the teaching and revelation of giving to reap the promises as in Luke 6:38.

Think about it this way, you and I are the products of seeds that were one day sown on the earth. Your life, family, ministry, and the church are all products of seeds. Different people planted seeds in your life, until you ended up the way you are today. Don’t ever underestimate the power of the seeds that people have planted in your life over the years. Don’t put limitations on the power of a seed to perform in your life.

How to receive the harvest as stated in Luke 6:38

1. Have spiritual discernment. Is God okay with what you are about to do?

Some Christians will take and receive seeds from just anybody without spiritual discernments. This is spiritually dangerous. Bad seeds can expose one to the attacks of the enemy. Get to know the power or forces behind the seeds that people are sowing into your life. Some people will sow because they want to manipulate and control you. Be very watchful and careful.

2. Learn to discern the motive behind why people are sowing into your life by spending time in the presence of God.

As you do, Holy Spirit will bring light into any darkness and give you discernment. Many in the Body of Christ today have knowledge of the word with some revelation. The only thing that is lacking in them is spiritual discernment. A good sower must be able to spiritually discern the potential power in the seed.

Proverbs 18:15-16

“A discerning heart gains knowledge, the ear of the wise seeks knowledge. A man’s gift makes room for him, and leads him before great men.”

Your ability to discern the power behind every seed will illuminate your heart with the light of the wisdom, concerning what to do, how to do it better and when to do it. You will then be on your way into greater exploits in whatsoever you are doing. God’s light will begin to light up your pathway before you enter into your prosperity.

3. Establish a strong relationship with God if your want your seed to bear maximum results

You can never know the power of the seed if you are not walking in a covenant relationship with God regarding sowing and reaping.

Your decision to sow a seed for anything in life must be a spiritual decision because it has spiritual implication. It should NOT be because you feel sorry for someone or to rescue a situation. It must be a decision that is triggered by your born-again spirit man. Once you hear from God regarding sowing, you must be followed up immediately by your act of obedience to God. As many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the children of God.

Don’t ever be in a hurry or be rushed by anyone to sow a seed. Pray in the spirit and let God give you the spiritual discernment before sowing seeds. It’s very crucial to your prosperity. Otherwise, you will find yourself just throwing seeds away and then getting frustrated when you don’t see the results you desired.

4. Sow or give freely from the heart but not out someone pressuring you to do it

Don’t sow because you see others doing it or someone forces you to do it. You’re going to miss out on the blessing of the Lord by doing that. You don’t determine your blessing based on the faith level of others or on what other people do or don’t do. You will be limiting God’s power in your life by doing that.

The person who is looking out for the harvest, does not look at what others are doing around him. He sows seeds based on his own personal intuition. Anyone who sows seeds by first looking at what others are doing, is not acting by faith. He is observing the clouds.

5. You must apply the law of faith and patience after sowing

There is a God appointed time for the harvest. Don’t give up because of impatience and doubt. Sow your seed in faith and trust God to bring forth a ripe harvest of blessing in your life in due season!

Remember, in God’s Kingdom, it is not the amount of seeds that will manifest the harvest for you, but it is the faith that you have in the seed that respond positively to the power of God to bring out the harvest. If you don’t have faith in the seed, don’t waste your time sowing it.

A seed sown in faith has the power to fulfill God’s purpose NOT ONLY for your life but in communities even nations.

Hebrews 6:12, “That ye be not slothful, but followers of them who through faith and patience inherit the promises”.

When faith has a tendency to waver, it is patience that comes to faith’s aid to make it stand. The power of patience is necessary to undergird faith. Patience undergirds faith and gives it endurance to persevere until the answer comes.

When you receive Jesus as your Lord and Savior, there are many amazing promises that become available to you. All you need is the knowledge of what’s available and the faith to claim them for yourself. Every Christian has the same opportunity to flourish and be blessed because of these wonderful promises, but not all of them are. It really amazes me that some people just refuse to believe the Word of God and refuse to do what they need to do to activate the blessing. They don’t have anything, and they are not happy about it, yet they won’t change; they won’t do what the word says to do.

The Lord says that “you have not because you ask not” (James 4:2). He also tells us not to fear because, “it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom” (Luke 12:32). You can have two people sitting next to each other—both with the same Bible—one blessed and the other not. Why? Does God play favorites? Absolutely not! He responds to faith—to those who believe that He is and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek him (Hebrews 11:6).

During creation, God ensured that the trees and other living things possessed the power of “the seed.” One tree was not favored over the other. Each tree was given the same potential to multiply. The Seed empowers each creature to bring forth after their kind. The Seed was in every living thing that God created.

6. Do not consider circumstances when God deals with you or tells you to sow

As King Solomon said in Ecclesiastes 11:4-6,

“Whoever watches the wind will not plant; whoever looks at the clouds will not reap. As you do not know the path of the wind, or how the body is formed in a mother’s womb, so you cannot understand the work of God, the Maker of all things. Sow your seed in the morning, and at evening let your hands not be idle, for you do not know which will succeed, whether this or that, or whether both will do equally well.”

In other words, you never stop sowing seeds, if you are truly expecting a harvest from God, and not from men. Men can’t give you what God has in plan to deliver for you (Jeremiah 29:11).

You must cultivate a seed sowing consciousness mind set, in your attitude towards the Kingdom of God, to STEADILY reap harvest from God.

That’s how your seeds will start speaking into your destiny in God. It will start bringing your prosperity to the light. It will start opening doors of opportunities into your life. And it will start speaking into your future.

Genesis 1:11-12 (KJV)
“Then God said, “Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb that yields seed, and the fruit tree that yields fruit according to its kind, whose seed is in itself, on the earth”; and it was so.12 And the earth brought forth grass, the herb that yields seed according to its kind, and the tree that yields fruit, whose seed is in itself according to its kind. And God saw that it was good”.
