The Keys to Financial Freedom in God’s Kingdom

Dr. Patrick Nyaga

THERE ARE TWO ECONOMIC SYSTEMS IN THE WORLD WHICH OPERATE DIFFERENTLY.

1) The Worldly Economic System
2) God’s Economic System / Kingdom System

The Worldly Economic System / Disadvantages

When Adam and Eve fell into sin, they lost 4 things.

  1. They lost their RELATIONSHIP with God.
  2. They lost their ASSIGNMENT from God.
  3. They lost their PROVISION of God.
  4. They lost their PROTECTION in God

Basically, they fell from grace to toiling for living. This is the reason why man without God and revelation of His Word has to continue to toil to gain success in this life.

God’s Economic System / Advantages

When a person receives Jesus Christ as their personal savior, they automatically fall under God’s economic system. They automatically receive the blessing of increase from God.

When this blessing is activated:

  1. It provides the power to produce.
  2. It bestows a covenant that overrides the curse
  3. It provides the anointing for divine favor
  4. It provides divine protection

The 2 main Scriptures that tell us – it is God’s will for His children to be prosperous

3rd John 2

“Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers”.

Prosperity, however, needs to be redefined. It’s not how much one is worth in the natural or just doing something grand or big. In fact, not everybody is called to do something big. For example, our ministry – Missions for Christ Ministries is spreading by the day in Africa. Since inception of MCM, we have started over 35 churches and still planting. Those churches have pastors and leaders under them. They may never be the one in front of the camera, but they are still a big part of what we’re doing. We really count on and appreciate our pastors and their leadership teams. We train them to help us be good stewards of what God has given us. The jobs of those working under these pastors may not seem as significant as others, but they are being faithful in what God has called them to do. That’s what I call success. Faithfulness in stewarding God’s property.

Matthew 25:23

“His lord said unto him, well done, good and faithful servant; thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord”.

If we are good stewards of what God gives us, He’ll increase us and give us more. The way that success has been presented in our generation is not a godly concept at all. I want to encourage anyone who feels like they haven’t done much: God’s got something more for you, and you can succeed. I hope I can help you recognize that success is not based on all of these temporary things that will pass away. God judges’ things differently than we do.

The Biblical way to Gain Godly Success

Joshua 1:8 (KJV)

“This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success”.

The key to a prosperous way, the key to good and Godly success is meditating on the book of the law, meditating on the word of God, and being careful to do according to what you read.

What does it mean to meditate?

It means we don’t just read the Bible, we soak it in. We let it become a part of us. We reflect on it in every way. Let me encourage you in your Bible reading to meditate. Don’t just read through the Bible and check off a box. Meditate, reflect on what is written. Reflect on what you’re reading. Pray according to what you’re reading. This is meditation. Meditate on God’s Word not just for a couple moments a day but the Bible encourages us to do it day and night.

The law of seed time and harvest

Genesis 8:22

“While the earth remains, Seedtime and harvest, Cold and heat, Winter and summer, And day and night Shall not cease.”

We gain success in God’s Kingdom through the principle of Multiplication. When we give of our finance as we are led by God / Holy Spirit, what we give is multiplied back to us. This is mainly because the seed sown by faith in God’s Kingdom is destined to multiply.

Like 6:38 (KJV)

“Give, and it will be given to you: good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over will be put into your bosom. For with the same measure that you use, it will be measured back to you.”

The seed requires time / patience for it to grow and multiply

Mark 4:26-29 (KJV)

“And He said, ‘The kingdom of God is as if a man should scatter seed on the ground, and should sleep by night and rise by day, and the seed should sprout and grow, he himself does not know how. For the earth yields crops by itself: first the blade, then the head, after that the full grain in the head. But when the grain ripens, immediately he puts in the sickle, because the harvest has come”.

Prosperity of man is NOT determined by how he or she looks on the outside (outward appearance) but by what is in the heart.

1 Samuel 16:7

“For man looketh on the outward appearance, but the Lord looketh on the heart”.

Many people look amazing on the outside, but in their hearts, they’re miserable—they don’t have joy or peace and certainly don’t have success. Understand this: There is nothing in this world that will minister to you or satisfy you more than knowing that you are in the direct center of God’s will.

Many of you reading this can’t say for sure that you know you’re doing what God has called you to do. You may love God and want Him to use you and bless you, but you don’t know for certain that you’re where you’re supposed to be. This is one of the reasons people aren’t happy and satisfied. In some cases, I believe God has given certain people a holy dissatisfaction. He’s trying to stir them up. This is one of the ways God motivates you and lets you know that there’s something more.
